Color and light therapy
Colors have a big influence an all organisms. In many different societies, the healing or soothing properties of colors are well known and colors are already used in a medical way. The German writer, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, has published a comprehensive work on the theory of colors (in German “Zur Farbenlehre”) as early as 1801. Von Goethe explains that different colors have specific subordinate properties, which influence us in any situation. We can’t escape this influence of colors. His thesis has been scientifically proven to be correct. It is exactely this effect that color therapy (also calles light therapy or color light therapy) uses.
Animals in general, but especilly horses, react very sensitive to different colors and can thus be treated very effectively with color therapy. For this reason, I very much like to use color therapy as a supporting instrument in my work as energetic osteopath. Especially in situations, in which painful or unpleasant correcting techniques must be applied, I like to use the power of the colors instead – and the horses thank me for it.
Health means balance between body, mind and soul. Every color influences with its specific vibration and energy on each of these single components.
The power of colors
Every color has a specific vibration that is either activating or relaxing. In the energetic work, we specifically use these color properties for our treatments. In general, one could say that light or bright colors have an activating or stimulating effect, while dark colors have a more soothing or muffling effect. Colors also influence the way we feel. They affect our emotional state of mind. They cab calm us down, be stimulating or make us aggressive. These properties of the colors are used in the energetic work.
Therapy with light & colors
How exactly can colors help us in treating a horse? On the one hand, colors can have a direct influence on physical problems. On the other hand, animals Animals react even more sensitive to the vibration of colored light than we humans do. Due to this, the individual properties of colors can be received so well by horses for treating physical problems.
This is the reason why I like using color light therapy a lot. With a special color puncture flashlight, individual colors can be used specifically. Specific colors are shone on selected regions of the body, on meridians or even more punctual on acupuncture points. They have an effect on the body, mind and psyche of the horse.
Color light therapy can be applied in order to harmonize the energetic state (by shining onto specific meridians or acupuncture points), to treat scar tissue, joints or muscular problems and solve blockages (especially back pain or problems with the sacroiliac joint).
