Scar tissue treatment
Every one of us has at least one scar on our bodies. It’s nearly impossible to get through life without obtaining any. Also, our horses are covered with countless little injuries, which might turn into scars. Scar tissue doesn’t look particularly nice, but the bigger problem is their high potential to endanger our health. For this reason, scars should be treated regularly.
The smallest scar is usually the one that disturbs the system most.
Much more than only a matter of appearance
Having a scar on top of a meridian-pathway can disturb or even entirely stop the entire flow of energy within the meridian system. They can even make the entire energy flow come to a halt. Why such a distrubance in the energy flow has severe consequences on hour health, is explained here.
Often times, brands – no matter if it’s a cold or hot brand – are energetic interfering fields. Geldings often have problems with the scars after castration. Also the white patches of hair in our horse’s fur that are due to saddle-soreness, unfitting spats, or blankets that are too tight, are a form of scar tissue. Not surprisingly, these type of scars distrub the flow of energy within the horse’s body regularly.
Any type of scar can potentially disturb the flow of energy. The main problem with scars is their long-term effects. Disturbances in one area of the body will necessarily influence other body parts – no matter how far away they are from the original scar. Saddle sores (scars) for example can lead to problems with the front legs.
Scar tissue treatment
The goal of scar treatment is to restore the flow of energy that has been disturbed due to the scar tissue. Only if the energy can flow freely again in the affected area, all systems and structures that are connected to that specific meridian can regain its full function.
By using specific methods scars can be treated very effectively. I use for example the myofascial release, magnets or color light therapy.
Scar treatment is not always necessarily part of the first treatment, but can be added (on top). Normally, scars will be treated in the follow-up treatment. While the first treatment deals with the “big construction sites”, the follow-up treatment is more about smaller problems. As these have been “hiding” underneath the bigger issues, they normally don’t show themselves during the first treatment.
